Bad experience! I was charged for a repair that didn’t correct my problem at first, but I had to return the vehicle for the same problem which “is” covered under my maintenance insurance. Cost me over $500 to troubleshoot for them… Update… Vehicle is still not repaired. Manager called my auto repair insurance and blamed them for the low rating I assigned to them because they didn’t assign a claim in a timely manner. They conveniently neglected to give the claims facilitator the full story on how this was the second attempt at repairing my vehicle after using incorrect diagnosis of a failed radiator cap. After several text message exchanges, the repair facility still refuses to acknowledge that the radiator cap is not the problem… I’m still waiting for an explanation on “…if the radiator cap was the problem, why are they now filing a claim which requires heater box/fan repairs…” As I said earlier, this was a $500+ lesson for me… Update: These guys are the worst! After I tried to resolve my problem with them several times, all they offer is to "cover my deductible" cost if I bring my vehicle back and let them use my CarShield insurance to repair the problem that they supposedly fixed by replacing a radiator cap. Unbelievable! If you read their response online Romay's Auto Repair wants everyone to believe their story about me not responding to their offer to repair my vehicle. What they "conveniently" omit in their reply is the fact they they charged me $560+ for a job that did not fix my heating problem although I questioned the "radiator cap theory" from the beginning. I attempted to rectify the situation with help from the Better Business Bureau, but Romay's never responded after "two" attempts from the BBB to contact them. The BBB was trying to resolve the issue by allowing Romay's the opportunity to respond, which they never did. So, when Romay's replied to my low ratings, they chose to have the "internet audience believe they "...love their customers, blah, blah blah..." Also, I'm still waiting to see how Romay's will respond to the question of how the $560+ will be applied to the repair cost... Still waiting for this repair facility to explain why they want to now use my CarShield insurance policy to perform a repair they should have already completed. I even tried to get the Better Business Bureau to assist in this dispute, but Romay's has refused to respond to two notices. What are you trying to hide? This will go to the next level real soon.
